Education = Equality

Never miss an opportunity to educate someone about something, anything. Our youth needs our wisdom - badly. If you're in a grocery line and a young child is close by, ask them to name three vegetables, three fruits, or a math question. Just think what a difference this would make if we all took care to reinforce learning inside the classroom. it's time to step up and view our children as THE torch-bearers of the future. I don't know about you, but in my older age I want a knowledgeable person taking care of me.

Education matters!

Ever had the cash register break while you were in line at a fst food restaurant? I have. The poor young lady could not complete the order. It happened that the gentleman in front of me was a Math teacher. He took the lead to help her figure out tax and the mechanics of how to quickly get a person's order out without being embarrassed.

How many of us would have helped her? Would you have gotten angry and created a scene? Would you have given her that "look?"

Help someone read this week. Volunteer where you can make a difference in educating someone, no matter the age.

If we follow the true call of "togetherness" as set by President Obama today, we can combat our truest enemy - ignorance.
